PERFUME DISCOVERY AFTERNOON
An Open Cellar Event

Stephan Matthews is delighted to invite you to explore his extensive perfume collection, which has been carefully stored in the “cellar”, on Saturday 23rd January from 1pm to 5pm in his own home.

A 45 minute train journey from London Waterloo, the house was built in 1891, the same year that Grossmith's Phul-Nana was launched, and the combination of wood panelling and open fires makes this the perfect place to discover some lost fragrances, or reacquaint yourself with a forgotten favorite.

Seven people will get the opportunity to smell twenty-eight fragrances from his collection of 412, and each person will choose five. All of the perfume blotters will be in sachet crystals for you to take away with you and continue to enjoy over the following weeks. Drawing on experiences from his time with various companies, Stephan will tell the story of the creations, their creators and also talk about the perfumes which came before and after.

The tickets are £35, which includes cake and bubbles along with a very special gift, but places are strictly limited - so you are encouraged to book straight away. To register your interest please contact Stephan by clicking on the button below and you will be sent details of how to pay. Participants will receive a copy of the full perfume collection in advance as a PDF, from which they can make their final choices, along with the address of the house. If you are driving then there is parking, or else the station is an easy six minute walk.
